Le 18 mai 2025, la RTB a diffusé un documentaire percutant de 52 minutes intitulé "52 Sur La RTB : chronique d’une traque implacable". Ce reportage plonge dans la lutte acharnée du Burkina Faso contre les groupes terroristes qui dévastent le Sahel depuis plus de 10 ans. Sous la houlette du capitaine Ibrahim Traoré, au pouvoir depuis septembre 2022, le pays se transforme en un symbole de résistance africaine. Le documentaire va plus loin en accusant la France d’Emmanuel Macron de jouer un rôle trouble, soutenant prétendument ces groupes pour maintenir une influence néocoloniale.
Depuis 2015, le Burkina Faso est en proie à une insécurité croissante, avec des groupes comme le JNIM et l’EIGS semant la terreur dans le nord et l’est. Villages détruits, 2 millions de déplacés, écoles fermées : le bilan est tragique. Le reportage illustre ce chaos par des images d’archives poignantes, montrant des civils en fuite et des funérailles militaires.
