Imagine reaching rural communities – most of whom have never been to a cinema, do not have power supply and even the chance to watch any film – with films on the big screen. What more, the films carry strong social messaging such as discrimination against the LGBTI persons, thereby creating forums for discussions on these emotive subjects. The festival is run by Positivo NGO which is using the power of film to inspire communities to be agents of change.
