Popokro est un village d’Afrique de l’Ouest. Les habitants y sont tristes et malades. Dans ce village réside une famille ; Les Popomi. Cette famille déteste l’hygiène, la saleté est son quotidien. Conduit par le père de famille Papa Popo, ils se permettent de faire leurs besoins partout. Les Popomi ont pour chanson : ‘On fait ça partout partout et puis ça ne va pas quelque part... ça ne tue pas les Popomi’. Les habitants de Popokro refusent l’hôpital mais préfèrent le guérisseur Kpita. Koko, l’un des enfants de la famille Popomi se pose tout de même certaines questions sur l’hygiène
Et voilà que Medecam le docteur arrive dans le village, il constate que certains des habitants sont lourds, nonchalants. Voyant Audrey, il demande à celle-ci de les réunir car il souhaiterait échanger avec eux sur l’assainissement. Il essaie de leur expliquer mais en vain. Il remarque là, Koko un petit de 8 ans qui souffre énormément, se tordant de douleur et rapidement il le conduit au dispensaire. Une fois au dispensaire Medecam explique à Koko que son mal est dû à un manque d’hygiène. Pour qu’il comprenne mieux, il lui remet les lunettes magiques pour qu’il voie de par lui-même. Ayant les lunettes sur aux yeux, il découvre que les microbes sont partout
Koko découvre l’univers des microbes et leur mode d’actions. Il constate que les microbes et les parasites sont des êtres bien réels qui attaquent l’organisme humain
Ayant découvert toutes ces choses, et aidés dans la tâche par ses amis (Tika et Julien) ils partent rapidement retrouver les parents pour leur ouvrir les yeux. Apres avoir sensibilisé les habitants du village Koko fait porter les lunettes magiques à son père. Lorsqu’il les met, il découvre également une multitude de microbes dans les moindres recoins de l’espace où ils sont. Depuis ce jour, La famille Popomi décide de changer de mentalité et de se construire ses latrines. Il décident tous de prendre soin de leur environnement (toilettes, espaces réservés aux jeux et leur maison).
Grâce aux lunettes magiques et de Medecam, Les microbes on été chassés du village.
