'Salt of the Nation' is the first film to have been shot in Southern Sudan, and tells the story of the region's history, from the civil war to the present day. With just a few weeks to go until a referendum on the region's independance, the film calls on southern Sudan's tribes to unite and form one nation.Duration: 01:48

We follow four young girls who have been married as children, and they suffer consequences such as missing out on school and normal childhood activities, falling pregnant, and the associated detrimental health impacts.

The film “changes the picture” to present the same girls in alternative futures by going to school, playing with friends, and having meaningful employment. The film is part of an upcoming campaign in South Sudan to support the end of child marriage and protect the rights of children in the Country.

SAMBALA, a new South Sudanese movie on addressing domestic violence features some of the most talented movie casts in the film and movie industry in South Sudan. Sambala, the main character, found himself at a crossroads having to decide between continuing with his education or giving it up in support of the love of his life, Likiso. With limited resources, he sacrificed his university tuition to help pay for his girlfriend’s fees. As a hardworking young man, Sambala remained home hustling to ensure that he is able to raise enough funds to meet all the school requirements for Likiso’s learning process. Three years later, Likiso graduates from the University with Honors and secured a good paying job. She happily married Sambala, the young man who sacrificed all that he had for her sake. As time goes by and due to bad peer pressure and influence, Likiso had a change of heart, assaulted, and threw out her husband, Sambala, out of the house, and eventually abandoned Sambala for a “wealthy and presentable” guy. It turned out that the new wealthy guy Likiso took for a husband is nothing but a fraud star. As for Sambala, like they always say, “Once a door closes another one opens”.
