Togo is a 2019 American drama film that debuted on Disney+. The film centers on "two key figures in the 1925 serum run to Nome, also known as the Great Race of Mercy, in which dog-sled teams relayed to transport diphtheria antitoxin serum through harsh conditions over nearly 700 miles to save the Alaskan town of Nome from an epidemic."[3]

Overview:Based on a true story, the film tells the story of Leonhard Serpara, a master sledder, and his sled dog Togo, who transported the serum to save the lives of Alaskan children in 1925. On the way, Serpara and Togo dodged crises by falling off cliffs and crossing glaciers with unstable ice conditions, and Serpara even lost his eyesight by going snow-blind at one point. In the end, with the cooperation of Togo and the other dogs, a team of them ran 425 kilometers and completed the mission!
