Niger. Elutaztam a világ egyik legszegényebb országába, Nigerbe, ahol összegyűlik mindenki, aki Afrikából Európába akar jutni.

A strapabíró kamerát a Rexfilm Kft. kölcsönözte.

Amateur home movie of Trans Sahara expedition by tourists in 1971 through Algeria and Republic of Niger, North Africa.

Agadez, Niger, men gathered outside the mosque. Panning view of the walled town and its mud buildings. Dusty streets and local Tuareg and Berber people walking past. A group of people are pounding grain in mortars. A different view of the Grand Mosque in Agadez. A busy market with goods laid out on woven mats on the sandy ground. Tiny huts with laundry hanging outside. The walls of the city in the background. It is very windy and peoples’ long clothes billow. View over the walled compounds, it looks like a dust storm is blowing in. The mosque again. Pack animals laden with produce in a wide dusty street. Back to the market and excellent footage of local people trading, colourful dress and people going about their normal business ignoring the camera. Possibly small livestock market with goats. Tethered camels. Women carrying babies on their backs. One of the tourists buys fruit at a stall. The streets of Agadez and more pounding grain. Tuareg men stand around at the camel market. A woman using a large pestle and mortar. Two men wrestle in front of a large crowd.
