Gambia coup on July 22, 1994, known to the Jammeh regime as the July 22 Revolution, was carried out to overthrow the constitutional government of Dawda Jawara. The coup was led by 29 year old. Lieutenant Yahya Jammeh, Lieutenant Sana B Sabally, Lieutenant Edward Singhateh and Sadibou Hydara.
