WANGU WA MAKERI, a bold and defiant woman, rose to power in a male-dominated society, challenging traditions and leaving a legacy that still resonates today. Wangu had her days in the sun, Wangu had her flaws, Wangu was all rounded. This Musical play, told in Wangu's indigenous language, GIKUYU, explores the life of Wangu through electrifying performances.
