Yoruba Wood Carving in Benin Republic

Porto-Novo, Benin Republic is the former site of the Xogbonou Kingdom. The architecture of this former kingdom reflects the ethnic heritage of the Goun but also boasts important #yoruba elements such as the wood carving tradition.
