Film "Dwubiegunowi" to pierwszy polski film o chorobie afektywnej dwubiegunowej. Opowiada o ludziach, którzy na nią cierpią, ich życiu codziennym oraz zmaganiach z depresją i manią naprzemiennie.
W filmie występują kobiety i ich bliscy. Czemu tylko kobiety? Czysty przypadek, po prostu wyłącznie kobiety zgłosiły się do udziału w projekcie. Bohaterki, które wystąpiły w filmie, dzielą się swoimi osobistymi przeżyciami i opowiadają o najtrudniejszych momentach swojej choroby. Film pozostawia jednak nadzieję, że ChAD to nie koniec świata, że można nauczyć się życia z takim, a nie innym potencjałem, i że można mieć w swoim życiu bliskich i dobre, wartościowe relacje z nimi.
Choroba psychiczna to choroba jak każda inna, a ludzie z ChADem to zwyczajni ludzie, zasługujący na szacunek i zrozumienie jak
wszyscy. Trzeba skończyć ze stygmatyzacją takich osób, a ten film to pierwszy krok w tym kierunku. Powstał po to, by pokazać, czym jest życie z ChADem oraz przełamać tabu związane z naszym zdrowiem psychicznym. To żaden wstyd być chorym, to żaden wstyd o tym mówić, to żaden wstyd się leczyć.

The film "Bipolar people" is the first Polish documentary about bipolar disorder, people who suffer from it, their everyday life and struggles with depression and mania alternately. The seven participants who appear in the film share their personal experiences and talk about the most difficult moments of their illness. The film, however, gives hope that BD is not the end of the world, that you can learn to live with such potential, and that you can have close and good relationships with other people.
A mental disorder is a disease like any other, and people with bipolar disorder are ordinary people who deserve respect and understanding as anybody else. We have to stop stigmatizing such people, and this film is the first step in this direction. It was created to show what life with BD is like and to break the taboos associated with our mental health. It's no shame to be sick, it's no shame to talk about it, it's no shame to get help.
